About Us
We are a group of creatives whose practice includes murals, cosplay, fabricated 3D objects, motion graphics, various digital content, portraits and poetry to name a few. With our work, we aim to share and celebrate our FilipinX Culture and stories within Mohkinstsis/Calgary, and hopefully help inspire future generations to take pride in their heritage.
Moh’kins’tsis/Calgary and surrounding area is home to an estimated 175,000 FilipinX peoples. We are the third largest ethnic minority in the city and the fastest growing ethnocultural community in Alberta. Our population spans from 1st, 1.5’s, 2nd and now 3rd generations.

Each generation has a different psychology with respect to their relationship with their FilipinX identity and their Canadian identity. There are many benefits and challenges to living a hybrid identity and occupying liminal spaces.
The FilipinX community represents diverse backgrounds in languages, cultural traditions, and spiritual beliefs, and we strive to increase their visibility in our community.
